Time is like that arcade dance game...

...You know that one where you have to step on the little lights when they light up? They start out slow and then they speed up until there's no way you could stamp on all of them even if you had an extra pair of feet.

It feels like time is like that. When you're a kid, the school holidays feel like they go on forever and ever and eventually you just want to go back so that you can stop being bored. And when you're at varsity, you think you're really busy with exams, lectures, assignments, sports and other activities. And then when you start working a full day, it feels like there's never time to do the things you used to do and like you are the busiest person on earth. And if you move in with someone, you have to take their time into account too. And then if you have kids, you have someone else that you are responsible for 24 hours of the day, seven days a week, and busyness becomes the understatement of the century.

I wonder if the game slows down again as you get older? Because it feels like everyone I talk to just gets busier and busier every year. Or is it just me?

Anyway... enough with the "deep" stuff. Here's a Friday funny for you. Looking forward to seeing those of you who are attending Bloggirls tomorrow. Have a great weekend, all.

Yes, I agree with you about time. Funny how we cram more and more in. Where do we get the time, sometimes?

I LOVED that cartoon! (chuckling still)

Very funny cartoon. See you at Bloggirls. I cannot comment on the deep stuff as it will require thought (which I don't have).

Maybe time doesn't exist and we're thinking we have no time; when there is no time. But even that thought is a bit too deep for me today. I'm still trynta stay awake. Can someone spell "redbull"? Funny I'm always obscenely clever in the mood LOL

paha. oddly enough we were talking about that dance game yesterday - I think it's called dance dance revolution or something. One of the guys at work was telling us about dance dance immolation at the burning man festival in usa - you wore a flame retardant suit and got flame-thrown when you stepped wrong. Now that sounds much more like real life to me ;)

but life's busy-ness is definitely getting crazier the older I get! See you tomorrow :)

I think sometimes we're so busy feeling guilty over the past and worrying about the future (neither of which exists) that we forget to just BE.

This ends your introspective lesson for the day. It's Friday, people, Let's PARTY!

I hate the way whole weeks go by without me even remembering what happened.

I was just reading this and thinking how deep you were being.. then you say enough with the "deep" stuff. You are right though.. it just gets faster and faster. That is why I surround myself with people who make me laugh, on-line and off so that it seems to go by a little more slowly!

That cartoon is soooooooooo funny. I like those guys!
