The not fun bits...

Frustration: clients who schedule meetings for me without checking if I'm available, wait for me to then reschedule everything else to make their stupid meetings, and then go ahead and postpone the meeting on the day it's supposed to happen.

Grrrr.

Yip, my interviews for this afternoon, which necessitated me dropping all my other committments and making special plans to fit them in, have now, as of five minutes ago, been postponed. And, to make things even easier, they haven't set a new date for the next load of interviews yet. And we only have next week to get them all done because this story is due the following Monday.

To me, that is just plain rude. It's like they are saying to me, "Our time is more important than yours, so f*** you, we'll schedule the meetings whenever we like."

This, my friends, is what I like least about being a journalist. If this weren't a report on a specific company, I would find new interviewees.

*sigh* Off to bang my head on my desk now.

17:35 update: I've just received an email with meetings scheduled by same client for Monday 2-5pm, Tuesday 11am - 4pm and one that will take place "sometime on either Wed or Thurs". KILL. ME. NOW.

Personally, I like to scream into my pillow. :D

Hope it doesn't stress you out to that point Tam...poor pillows.

Cam, when I was a kid my mom told me that if I was upset I should hit my pillow. I did, and then I would cry and spend ages apologising to it. Strange child. This is why we shouldn't name things, hey?

Ugh, i suppose there always has to be a downside to what we love doing? Personally I think people are just bloody rude and think only of themselves - not only in the journalism field.

Hope they sort themselves out in time!

And yes, i have the same problem with pants - 3/4 look like full length on me and as for full length - i can never wear straight from the shop, they always have to be shortened first.

VERY expensive Whiskey like Single Malt Scotch helps. Especially Lagavulin or Laphroaig

Slyde: I want to bang my head hard enough to knock myself out. So it will only hurt when I awake again ;-)

At least you work at home and you can shout and throw things without causing a scene...
:P
And no, I've never done that myself... well, not thrown things as such. Not across the room as such...

Angel: hahaha... I left shoe marks on the walls at the last place we lived. Have been trying not to do that in this house ;-)

pffft and this is why I avoid my mail box but I will change after school- I hooooope.

apparently you burn 150 calories banging your head against the wall- so at least do it with a pillow there.

Or watch Dirty Dancing? Or Grease. Feel good mind drivel :D

OR sing opera and the intense scenes in another language helps the imagination XD
