I am watching the opening ceremony and game at work, it's a bit ridiculous really cos I am not getting anything done. And my boss took the day off to watch the game. Something is wrong here, but anyway woohoo!!!!!

Okay, this is clearly some kind of sports thing that I am oblivious to, but since everybody's happy and I don't want to be left out

Woo Hoo! Yeah! South Africa, Baby!

Go Bafana Bafana! I was SO proud of them! never thought I'd be screaming at the ref and jumping up and down at soccer, but will totally be doing that again soon!

I live in Maritzburg & although we don't have the up close action of the cities who are hosting the actual games, there is just as much passion & spirit! On Friday, the Vuvuzelas just did not stop! It's wonderful to see just about every South African regardless of colour so behind Bafana & South Africa. Brilliant. Anyway, it was good to read your experiences of the opening game, of someone who was there in person.
